hi experts...i came here with another problem...
i'm exporting query default view into browser..
but here in browser, by default it is expanding the result for all chars... but i dont want to expand results for all char's by default..
i need to maintain the query view in the browser as i mainained in bex analyser.
means only with overall result based on one char.(example '0calday wise') results.
thanking you...
nithin
Hi Nithin,
The trivial (not the best way) to do it - put your additional char for further drilldown as free characteristics. If a user want to drilldown further s/he can do it manually.
Best regards,
Eugene

Hi,
I hope, you can define the property of each characterstic in query designer wether to display the result or not.

hi guys...
thank you for ur suggesions..
i tried to change properties of chars in query itself...
it solved my problem some how...
but i want to display dif workbooks based on single query, with dif overal results...
if i set char properties to display results in query designer, while going to browser it is generating overal results based on query only.. but not on work book in bex.
anymore suggestions... pl..
thank u all
regards
nithin
hi anil i tried as you said...
i have gone to query local view and set the properties...
but still while publishing the workbook to browser,
the option to publish itself 'lanch in brower->query(default view)...
so it is coming according to query global definition...
only the default view of the query is coming in browser,
even tho i publish another view of the query...
i'm not getting any way to solve this..
pl put some effort to solve this...
i cant try according to another guy suggesion...
thanking you..
nithin
hi... your suggesion is ok...but
our intention is not to make the client further navigations or further property settings in browser...
for that we r generating necessary workbooks or views..
but as we r using same query to generate dif navigational states and displaying results accordingly in bex, we shud get the same results in web also...
i'm thinking that it is better to do it with web query designer... am i right?
if any other alternative way so as not to do with web query, pl let me know...
thanking you
nithin
