Red error of a variant in a process chain

Former Member

I run a process chain, but find some red errors for some variants. I get to the log view and find the log msg for 1st red error variant:

InfoPackage Vendor Number Compounded to Company Code Attr(ZPAK_3UF1G76K0A45BSBAN31Z7Y0MT) exists already in process chains -> Long t

Message no. RSMPC147

Diagnosis

InfoPackage Vendor Number Compounded to Company Code Attr(ZPAK_3UF1G76K0A45BSBAN31Z7Y0MT) already exists in 1 process chains, for example in chain General Master Data.

Procedure

If you want to use an InfoPackage with the settings in Vendor Number Compounded to Company Code Attr(ZPAK_3UF1G76K0A45BSBAN31Z7Y0MT) without the process chain, copy the InfoPackage and use the copy.

Note that all settings made here have a direct influence on all proecess chains in this InfoPackage.

If I double click the 4th line, get the following:

Delete init. request REQU_3WKCU8KH8KEWD2H28DM0AS2QJ before running init. again with same selection

Message no. RSM1188

Diagnosis

If, in addition to this message, you also receive message RSM1 105 and you have selected the automatismAutomatic Update for the ODS object, it may be that no data targets are connected to the ODS object into which the system can automatically update after the data is activated.

System response

After each activation process, the system tries to automatically update the data that has just been activated to the data targets. To this end, the system generates InfoPackages. These InfoPackages check whether a successful initialization has already been performed. If initialization has already taken place, the system tries to update the data using a delta request. If there has not yet been an initialization, the system attempts to perform the initialization. durchzufê}ren.

If no data targets are connected to the ODS object, the system cannot update the data from the ODS object.

This system behavior has no effect on data consistency.

Procedure

If no data targets are connected to the ODS object, deactivate Automatic Update for this ODS object in ODS object maintenance ODS-Objekt-Pflege oder -Administration aus.

How to resolve this red error?

Thanks

Kevin,

Check the "Update Mode" in Update tab of the InfoPackage. If you have already initialized a data source, then subsequent loads should only be "Delta".

Normally you would have a Delta InfoPackage in the Process chain to be executed periodically.

Hope this helps.

Parag,

Everytime you give a very correct answer. I will modify the process chain and will give you rewards later!

hi Parag,

You are right and now the red error is gone after I check the Delta load. But now I've got other two kinds of red errors:

1. For Hierarchy variant, the log msg says "Select a hierarchy"

2. Two variant with description as "Value Type for Reporting Text" and "Country Text". If I right click and select Maintain Variant, can't bring me to the variant maintenance screen, in stead, the status bar shows that "Attributes are not yet maintained". The log msg says:

Diagnosis

The attributes have either not yet been created or activated.

The data cannot be taken from the source system without maintained

attributes. Therefore, this data request is not possible.

Procedure

Maintain the attributes for this master data-InfoSource in the

Administrator Workbench and then activate them.

I go to RSA1 -> InfoObject view, search for Country Text, but can't find this InfoObject for "Country Text". I can find the infoObject 0VYPE for "Value Type for Reporting" here, but since our Development box is gone and we can only use test system that I can only display this InfoObject, the version shows it's "Active" and the Oject Status shows "Active, executable". It seems that this InfoObject has been activated already, right?

How to resolve these two kinds of red errors?

Thanks

Kevin,

1. For the hierarchy extraction, you need to choose the hierarchy in the InfoPackage. Maintain the Hierarchy variant. It should open InfoPackage. On the "Hierarchy Selection" tab, choose the hierarchy which you need to extract. If you dont see any hierarchies there, click on refresh "Available Hierarchies from OLTP" button.

2. Check your transfer rules. Go to RSA1-> InfoSources. Locate 0VTYPE & 0COUNTRY. Check the source sys assignments & trf rules for them.

Let us know if you have any issues.

hi Parag,

You are always great!

We have four master hierarchies:

1. Material Hierarchy,

2. G/L Account Number Hierarchy,

3. Cost Center Hierarchy, and

4. Profit Center Hierarchy.

For No. 1, there is only one hierarchy called "Batch" in the Hierarch Selection tab, therefore I can select this one, and now the red error is gone.

For No. 2, there are a lot for different country financial statements, I select the U.S. one and now the red error is gone.

But for 3rd one and 4th one, cost center/profit center hierarchies, I have no idea to select from the list since there are a lot and can't see any clue from the description. Do you have any idea on how to select for the last two?

I go to RSA1 -> InfoSources, locate 0VTYPE and 0Country and find that under Transfer_Structure/Transfer_Rules, there is no any Source System/DataSource assigned. I can assign source system for them, but when I click the button "Assign DS" to assign data source based on the selected Source system, there are a lot listed. Which datasource do I have to select from the list for the 0VTYPE and 0Country?

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

In my understanding, you have an ODS with 'Automatic update into data targets' flag checked in ODS maintenance screen. The system tries to update data targets after data activation in ODS, but couldn't find any data targets. So, 1). if you really have data targets for ODS, then activate their transfer rules, 2). if you have no DT and don't have to have them, then deactivate above mentioned flag.

Best regards,

Eugene

hi Eugene,

If I right click this variant with red error and select Maintain Variant, find that the common "Data Target" tab is not there, what does that mean?

Thanks
