Hi guys,
When i was creating an infosorce [for transaction data] i populated the comm. structure before creating the transfer structure/rules. Is this the right way to do it or will this cause problems?
Hi Ravi,
It will not cause any problems. It is inafact good as it will help you in the mapping.
Hope this helps..

Hi,
Which ever method ur following is also one of the method allowed in SAP if u r creating by ur one with out replicating from R\3. If u r doing this by replication first u get tranfer structure from this u have to maintain the communication structure.
In the method ur following after creation of communication structure u have to assign data source, once u assign it it will give a pop up there u have to press the yes push button, then BW proposes a trnasfer structure based on the information of the communication structure.
The transfer structure maps data source fields to infosource infoobjects. There should me appropriate mapping in transfer rules tab if not u have to take care of thosethings.If u want to do any calculations like revenue u can done here by clicking the infoobject icon.
Regards-
Sidhhu

Ravi;
It's good what you are doing, just make sure you won't have all the object mapped in the trafer rules where you go and checked manually.
