Solman 7.0 Installation

Dear Experts,

I am new to SAP..I am trying to install SOLMAN 7.0..but I got the error in phase 3 of 42 (Unpack SAP archives)

       An error occurred while processing option SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 Support Release 1 > SAP Systems > Oracle > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: Execution of the command "C:\Users\ADMINI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\1\sapinst_exe.2768.1382951076\SAPCAR.exe -x -v -i -R D:/usr/sap/MER/SYS/exe/uc/NTAMD64 -f F:/Oracle/OCL11264.SAR," finished with return code 6. Output: SAPCAR: error opening F:/Oracle/OCL11264.SAR (error 6). The system cannot find the file specified. SAPCAR: 0 file(s) extracted). You can now:

• Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
• Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
• Stop the option and continue with it later.

Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/SOLMAN701SR1/SYSTEM/ORA/CENTRAL/AS.   

Any idea please help

I got it...It was my mistake

While Solution manager installation it will ask for "ORACLE CLIENT 112" path.I choosed Oracle rdbms path...It was the mistake

Download oracle client 11.2 and choose that path.It contains OCL11264.SAR file

Hello,

Please check..

1) Does the file OCL11264.SAR exist in F:/Oracle/.

2) If file exist, execute the command manually

SAPCAR.exe -x -v -i -R D:/usr/sap/MER/SYS/exe/uc/NTAMD64 -f F:/Oracle/OCL11264.SAR

3) one more thing is, give full permissions ( RWX ) to EVERYONE .

Dear sir,

OCL11264.SAR is not exist in F:/ORACLE....So is it a fault oracle version?....If so how can I find the right version?

Hi Raju,

First why you are installing SAP Solman 7.0 EHP1 version it is very old and SAP support end on Dec 2013.

Better go for SAP Solution Manager 7.1 version , please check the below link for SAP Support Package Stacks Maintenance Schedule

Dear sir,

Actually its a long story...I dont know whether I have to post it here....forgive me if so...I got a job as a sap basis admin in a small firm after my college project..After 2 days my boss given me all the dumbs of solman 7.0 and told me to install in a PC...I dont have any experiance at all..I dont get any training too...Not providing service market username and password to download new dumbs...Wat should i do...please help...I want to learn

anothere thing i would like to suggest you to go in the below url and check thing in PAM.

Hi Raju,

Please post the sapinst_dev.log file from C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/SOLMAN701SR1/SYSTEM/ORA/CENTRAL/AS.
