How to Pull huge volume of data from SAP R/3 source tables.

My requirement is to pull huge volume of transactional data for SCM module. The volume is near about 6500,000.

I am geeting a time out error if i use ABAP data flow to pull the data from R/3 systems, and also it takes 30-45 mins before it throw error's.

Please advise.

Do you load only one table or do you have also some table joins in the flow?

Hello Beat,

The requirement is having both the conditions.

1. To pull data from one single R/3 table.

2. To pull data from multiple R/3 tables by applying joining conditions from legacy itself.

In first scenario i used Data transfer as well but it also throwed error with time out.

So we are thinking to increase the RFC connection timeout.

Please suggest.

Hi Santosh,

Indeed you have to increase timeout in RFC connection. Check with your basis for same. As we are able to extract data from SAP even bigger volume without any problem using ADF.
