SAP BW 7.3 as data target in FIM job

Hi All,

I am working on a scenario to move the data to BW targer using FIM 10.0. I was able to create the BW data store. But when trying to create the job  in the data target selection - the second drop down option 3.x infosources / 7.x data stores are blank.

Can some one give thoughs on this issue?

Hi Deepesh,

When configuring BW as target system, can you confirm that you have chosen to create an InfoSource of type 3.X (and not simply an Infosource?):

FIM only detectes 3.x infosources even if you are using a recent BW version).

Thanks for the reply.

We have created source system as BODS not as external. Will this cause any issue? Any observation from your side.

Any idea why it not supporting the 7.X objects. Did SAP also say that it works only with 3.x objects?

Hi Deepesh,

Using DataServices as your source system shouldn't be an issue (it has been tested internally and by some of our clients).

For 7.X inforsources, I can't really tell why it is not supported (there might be a compatibility issue) but the use of 3.X infosources should work fine with BW 7.01 SP03 and higher.
