can we create a production order without bom and routing?

where this scenario will used?

what are the settings we have to maintain in the configuration system?

Dear Sridhar,

Yes you can create a production order without BOM and routing.

This is normally used during new product development and during rework order creation using CO07.

You need to maintain the proper BOM application and routing selection in the order type dependent

parameters in OPL8 for the order type and plant combination.

From my perspective,it doesn't make sense to create a PO without BOM or routing,unless you just want to increase your stock..

Let's see whether others can provide better usage of this scenario...
