After all the kind words about my book I feel compelled to add in a few titles:
If you are just starting with SAP CRM, then I strongly suggest you read Discover SAP CRM by Srini Katta. I know people in the online reviews have said it doesn't cover config and unfortuantely they don't get the point of the book. It's a great book to explain what business processes are supported by SAP CRM at high level, where you could give a copy to your business users.
I also recommend the SAP Web Client book which includes Tzanko Stefanov as one of the authors. It's a little advanced and the examples require good programming skills to follow, but if you want to develop webclient stuff it's a must have and makes things clear.
Now for practical business knowledge, I recommend CRM at the speed of light by Paul Greenberg. It's the theory behind CRM. The fourth edition covers more "social CRM" and the third edition is more traditional CRM. You need both books to have full coverage on the topic.
Take care,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Its not a cure for insomnia its just that I get some time before going to sleep.
Its like a CRM pill before I end the day, because there is so much to learn in CRM
I love it so much that I have referred the book to our company library people so that they can buy it and other associates can use the same and get the most important aspects to be learnt in CRM.
Thanks for writing such a wonderful book.
I hope we can get some thing similar to CRM middleware as well one day !!
Thanks & Regards
Himayat
Good to hear that
Middleware in itself seems to be a vast area and I am trying to understand how things work there offlate. Learning slowly something daily on SCN on MW.
But a complete end to end book on MW would be more helpful which covers both functional and technical aspects of MW.
I hope some one is hearing this and plan to release it one day
Hi Gaurav
Yes, SAP CRM: Technical Principles and programming is good book for the CRM Basics. I like it.
For Web Client Development I'm using the Book SAP Web Client by Tim Back, Michael Füchsle, Uwe Reimitz.

Hi Gaurav,
SAP CRM: Technical Principles and programming By Stephen Johannes
If you want to know about SAP ABAP CRM and you are about to begin, this could be a better one to start.
One example:
In SAP CRM Technology, “Call timing” refers-> A code can be executed anytime from any place which can be anything from FM to BADI.
As a CRM Programmer, we have to judge where it is!
