Short Profile Configuration (in MSS/ Home/ Team)

Requirement here is not to show any Employees' Compensation related data to Managers as shown in below (1st) Screenshot:

I have tried below but couldn't made it yet:

Trail-1: Removed Short Profile from MSSBIZVIEW against all Navigation Field Groups: (No Use)

Trail-2: Unchecked the Show short Profile under the node: "Maintain Transferred Organizational Chart Configuration": (No Use)

Above 2 trials couldn't helped in meeting client's requirement.

Could someone suggest how to configure / personalize this Short Profile ?

Please check the customizing in

IMG: Personnel Management->

->Manager self-service (Web Dynpro ABAP )

->Profile Applications

Please ensure in the assocated profile the fields are maintained

with sequential numerical values

Hi Srikanth,

I am also having same requirement and i need to customize the Short profile, i followed your steps and i made Z copy of SAP_MSS_TEAMVIEW and i removed few fields.

It is not reflecting immediately, how do i need to attach this Z Copy to MSS Team View or do i need to do any more configure to reflect on my screen, please help me on this one.

Hi Abhiram,

Please refer to the screen shot pasted below where Srikanth has removed the Compensation related field group and fields and the same is getting reflected in portal.

He has made a Z copy of the standard SAP_MSS_TEAMVIEW to refer it in the future if needed but he as has not used the same. Hope this solves your issue.

Hi Mithun,

You are right in my case. I have made a Z copy of standard. And kept the Z copy aside and made the changes in SAP_MSS_TEAMVIEW (Standard).

Still you can do it for ZSAP_MSS_TEAMVIEW, If you can take the risk of WD-ABAP customizations:

Below screenshot is for your reference, where you can change the parameters at WD-ABAP level:

You can reach this from SE80 with ABAPUSER rights.

Navigation: WD-Component = FPM_OIF_COMPONENT > Application Config = HRMSS_TEAM_DETAIL > (Start Configurator) > Click on Continue in Display mode > Click on configuration name = HRMSS_TEAM_DETAIL_OIF_CC > Select the UIBB = HRMSS_TEAM_HIERARCHY > Click on Configure UIBB > Above Screen Shot

Some how complex, so don't wana take risk with all this. This is what the reason made me to do the changes for STANDARD..

Hi Abhiram,

Try below it will work for you:

1. Delete your Z copy (existing Z copy currently)
2. Copy your SAP_MSS_TEAMVIEW to ZSAP_MSS_TEAMVIEW
3. Now do the changes for SAP_MSS_TEAMVIEW (As you needed)

Yeah i also tried doing it but it was bit complex so made the changes to the standard one directly.

Nice to see both of your replies, even i tried the option for Web Dynpro ABAP, it was little bit complex and even i don't want to touch standard Web Dynpro ABAP application.

I will follow the same how did it.
