Query too large issue

Hi Experts,

Just wanted to ask if you can recommend any solution or workaround to this problem.  We are getting the issue "The requested operation could not be completed because the query is too large" in OLAP Analysis.  However, once we run the same query in Analyzer or Analysis for Excel, it works.

Hello Mark,

in addition to the usual limitations on the BW side (safety belft) Analysis OLAP also has configurations that are done in the CMC for the Analysis server where you can configure the maximum number of cells and the maximum number of values for a list of values.

looks like you are running into the maximum number of cells limit
