upload text to Charasteristics with direct update

Hello,

I want to upload description to charasteric with direct update. I have charasteristic with Text.

But in infoobject i dont see description field. I see just key. How can I upload text?

Hi,

It's not clear when you say 'in infoobject'. Where exactly? Master data? Transfer rules?

You should have a data source for text. Something like *_TEXT. And probably for attributes and hierarchies (if any). When you assign source system (flat file?) click on a datasource field and you'll be able to choose from datasources for IO. Choose that one which is for texts.

If you InfoObject a business content one, or a custom object? In RSD1 > Master Data/Text tab, is the With texts box checked?

Aleks, check the description is maintained for the characterstics or not.

If it is maintanined then no need load one more time that will come when you load data.

if it is not there then load it freshly
