Error when opening a Work Item

Hi Gurus,

We are facing a error when open a Work Item. We have a job (whit the program swn_selsen) that sends emails of SBWP for users and it's attachment of the Work Item (standart program).

When we open the work item is the following error:

Logon into SAP system failed.

The system description SID can not be found in the system list.

Make sure that saplogon.ini exists and choose an existing system

description in the system list.

In place of SID appears written with special characters (follows the print attached). What I want to know is where he pulls this information? Where do I change the SID information?

I suspect that these special characters are doing the error happen and if I change it can be that of right.

Thank you all for the help.

Check this SAP note

Note 170352 - Sapshortcut: Saplogon.ini can not be found

There should be an saplogon.in file which is the configuration file for the connections.

Reagan,

The saplogon.ini is configured with the correct connections. And my sapgui is the release 730 (patch 5), this note deals with the release 710 and recommends to install patch 13.

I think the error happens when generating a work item. Can you tell us where I can go to configure the parameters of this process?

Thank you for the help!

I had to ignore the screenshot you provided as I didn't understand the text in it.

Logon into SAP system failed.

The system description SID can not be found in the system list.

Make sure that saplogon.ini exists and choose an existing system

description in the system list.

Based on this it is evident that there is a connection problem.

I don't have any clue to the steps done to open the work item until you get this error.

I would try the same thing from a different machine where it works and compare the configuration settings.

Hi,

Rather that going in SBWP first go in SWI1 and try to see that the work iteam try to see if you can view thing in there.

In not there then i would suggest just to try on machine which has lower gui patch. Like rather than 5 try to use just 7.3 gui .Don't deploy any patch.

If you can provide the exact screen what you are doing .

Thanks

Hi guys,

The problem was solved. The ABAP change the program of the job to RSWUWFML2.

Thanks everyone.

Hello,

what was the change in the RSWUWFML2?

Best regards,

I can't explain it in more detail, but it had to do with the way the old program read the saplogon.ini file and how the program RSWUWFML2 reads the same.
