BOM lot size range

Hi,

I am creating a BOM for a material in IDES... now during creation with CS01, when I go to the header i am able to see option of entering Base Qty only ...but not able to see the option of entering lot size range from...to..... but after saving the BOM, when I go to change mode CS02 for that BOM then in the header I am able to see lot size range from..to... ... is this standard behavior??.. how to get the provision for entering lot size range during creation itself in CS01 ?...

Hello Kumar,

This is standard for the first alternative. Try the following, go to CS01 to create another alternative, you will see the lot size fields activated.

Thanks for your reply.... While creating the second alternate BOM for the same material during creation lot size range fields are activated..It is fine...I know that.....but question is during creation of initial (first) BOM is there any chance for entering the lot size range.....that too in CS01 and not in CS02.....

Hello Kumar,

As far as my understanding goes, this is not feasible.

System provides option for the lot size validity in CS01 for multiple BOM scenario, so that lot size validity can come into the picture during creation. For a single BOM case, how are you trying to use this field, please let us know.

Can you kindly elaborate your requirement, it will be very helpful.
