Linking multiple documents to Material Variant

Hello,

I am using variant configuration (Make-To-Stock) scenario where I am using single material variant for external procurement. The requester will configure the requested material variant  (ex. pipe) directly in purchase requisition. All this setup is done successfully, but I am wondering what is the best way to link this material variant to several documents (engineering drawing) and allow the requester to choose the right document during configuring the variant in purchase requisition? 

Current setup whatever linked to the material masters will be automatically inserted to PR but I don't want that / I want the requester to choose from them instead of inserting all these documents or automatically depend on the value of characteristics chosen during configuration.

As you are dealing with material Variants thats why you have this fix set of documents.

I am not sure documents you are talking about are part of BOM or not , if these documents are being mainatained at BOM level it will be fix for material variant.

I suggest if you want to assign documents based upon requirement from the PO creater best option is use configurable material in PO instead of variant and it will facilate you to select and configure product as per your needs.

Check and revert back.
