PM sub-order IW36: PM order type as mandatory superior order?

Dear Experts,

we would like to work with order hierarchies for complex and long-lasting PM tasks (e.g. revisions) and aim

to have all costs collected on a CO order on top of the hierarchy.

The PM order type we are using (PM03) is assigned to a settlement profile, which allows only CTR cost center

as settlement receiver. The distribution rule for sub-orders is defined as "3 - main order will be settlement receiver".

There's no problem with creating low level order hierarchies (PM03 with another PM03 as superior order), but

when trying to link the top level order (PM03 with CO order type) I get from IW36 the error message IW161  "Order 123456

does not exist".

This implies to me that the superior order must be another PM order type and no CO order type - correct?

Do you know any customizing settings I've missed to realize this or do you have other ideas? (Ok, I could

create another PM order type with settlement allowed on CO order type and use this as superior order, but we don't want

to introduce another PM order type).

Thanks in advance for your appreciated help!

Best regards,

Patrick

Hi Thyagarajan,

thanks for your reply!

Can anyone confirm that only order category 30 (service & pm order) can be used as superior order?

Or any other suggestions to solve my issue?

Regards,

Patrick
