Monthly data from BPC 10 to BW

Hi All,

For Reporting on BPC data, we need monthly balances from consolidation (BPC) to be loaded in BW reporting cube.

BPC Consolidation only provides Cumulative balances.

Any suggestions on enhancing the FM that loads from BPC to BW?

Hi

Copy the YTD Model to Periodic Model and maintain data transfer from YTD to Periodic.

From BI ,We can you use Periodic_B Model for reporting.

Hi all,

We are not really into making changes within BPC so I wanted to work this out in BW scope while loading data.

I have created a staging DSO before loading into Cube, and while loading to Cube I am doing a lookup for previous period cumulative balance and substracting it from current record to get Monthly balance.

the staging DSO has all the dimension members (from BPC virtual cube) as key.

Please advise if this has any drawbacks?

Hi Pratap,

We can create our own custom measures in BPC Cube.

Please check this UJA_MAINTAIN_MEASURE_FORMULA and there is MDX Formula also to convert YTD to Periodic.so that with in one cube we can get YTD aswell as periodic
