question for change run process and find all location for a object

Hi expert,

I have a few simple questins as follows:

       (1) if I use a 'attribute change run' process in a process change, but into insert any infoobject , it is whole blank, does it mean to do change run for all infoobjects?

      (2) I want to find out all the locations where a object is used ?  such as a datasource existing in a 'PSA request deleting ' process, not just locations for infopackage/DTP etc.

Many Thanks,

Andy

-- If its blank there are no info objects for which ACR is needed. ACR for all the info objects is done and data is active in master data tables for all the IOs.

If you load master attribute data into any of the info object for ex -0material then you can find this IO in the list where this need ACR to be performed.

(2) I want to find out all the locations where a object is used ?  such as a datasource existing in a 'PSA request deleting ' process, not just locations for infopackage/DTP etc.

-- Its a bit tricky thing ,its not straight forward, we don't have any such table which holds all the information that you are looking for.

If you want to know that particular master data IO - you can use the where used list of that particular IO.

if you want to look for the data source where that particular IO is being used you can check the tables :RSOSFIELDMAP. check the screen shot attached below.

Once you get the data soruce names you can get the PSA names from Data source technical attributes (wrench symbol) --

Using the data source you can find the DTP and IP used.

Hi Zhang,

1) Whenever a master data infoobject which has attributes gets changed in BW, it automatically shows the infoobject in Attribute Change run screen by default. You need not to select any infoobject manually. If you try to run the blank screen of ACR, then ACR job itself doesn't trigger.

2) Do you want to know that particular master data infoobject where is used, right? You can do that by Where-used-list. I hope the datasource in PSA request deletion is just an example you have given us.

No, Without mentioning required info object ACR step doesn't make sense. Need to add required infooobject.

      (2) I want to find out all the locations where a object is used ?  such as a datasource existing in a 'PSA request deleting ' process, not just locations for infopackage/DTP etc.

Asusaual thru Where used list you can find data sources which have been used this info object. regarding PSA Deletion need manual checking or abap thru.

if you have very less process chains at your server then you can easily check one by one for PSA Deletion step. or Table RSPCPROCEEELOG, you filter on Process type choose as psa deletion one.You will get available psa deletion number of process added at your server.

Thanks

Hi Andy

No it won't run all infoobjects it will run none.. Changerun runs only for the specified infoobjects..

      (2) I want to find out all the locations where a object is used ?  such as a datasource existing in a 'PSA request deleting ' process, not just locations for infopackage/DTP etc.

tricky question you would need an abap report checking the various base tables below.. bw doesn't provide a standard function to all those "where used object"

hope that helps
