Full cache refresh giving erro

Former Member

Hi,

I have issue in PI 7.1 system for cache. When i make a change to any of the adapter, i don't see that change coming in RWB.

Also i checked the status of adapter in Cache Overview and Adapter engine shows : Not yet started.

Hence I tried to full cache refresh.. There i got connection time out

500 Connection timed out

Error:-5
Version:7200
Component:ICM
Date/Time:Wed Oct 23 16:54:30 2013
Module:XXX
Line:4295
Server:PXXXX
Error Tag:{-}
Detail:Connection to partner timed out after 600s

Also from SLD when i do the cache refresh test, adapter engine shows yellow..

I have looked at RFC connection and other parameters but nothing seems to have changed but this issue popped up from 2 days..

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Regards

Hi,

please check if the FQDN (host names) have been maintained for different components instead of IP address.

Java restart also helps resolve this error sometimes.

I checked it but no specific solution on this.. This might be issue with one of the user as SLD

Error : Failed to read SLD instance name. Reason: HTTP response code: 503 (Service Unavailable)

Any advice is appreciated.

Hi All,

Till now, I have done the following.

(1) Check all PI* user and other users as per SAP OSS note 999962

(2) Check the Exchange profile users

(3) Check SM59 connection for all as per OSS note 999962

All looks good. Still whenever, i change any channel i don't see that changes of channel reflected in RWB channel monitoring

Also when i look for look at communication  channel -> Cache monitoring, i see the status Red

When i do the cache test from RWB, i see the failure as following

Any other help on this is appreciated.

I think you need to check SLD connectivity too...

Hi techie,

Check if user used in INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI rfc destination is unlocked (in SU01)

Also, check with Basis team if there was any recent parameter changes on exchange profile:

com.sap.aii.connect.cr.name

com.sap.aii.connect.directory.mshost

com.sap.aii.connect.directory.name

All looks fine. RFC works & Exchange profile ( above 3 ) are intact with no changes

Hi Techie,

Stop JMS channels and restart server, and then do a cache refresh without starting the channels.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry i am not sure about JMS channel. Do you mean JMS channel ( like file, RFC etc).. My scenario is file to file if this is the case. Or you are talking about JMS from NWA.

Please advice.

Hi Techie,

Stop the file channels (better to stop all channels) and do a server restart, then do a full cache refresh.

I was refering to JMS channels (like File, JDBC, RFC), as we are talking about full cache refresh its a server issue not only your file channels.

Hi,

Could you please run Transaction SLDCHECK and check if everything is fine.

Thanks and Regards,

Thanks Naveen for reply! SLD Check looks good! The issue is when i change anything on adapter engine, this is not reflected on RWB.. To solve this issue i do full cache refresh and gets time out..

Also SLD Cache refresh test shows yellow in RWB .Along with Cache Status of communication-channel in ID is also not started.. Due to all this I tried using Full refresh and got into this issue.
