Unable to perform synchronization btn client and server

Hi All,

The ME2.1 is installed on frces4043 server and on port 50500.

The CRM system which am trying to access is on server frces4078, port number is 50100, system number 01 and sid is ETR.

The user id is ABC who has all authorization S_TCODE, S_RFC,S_ME_SYNC.

I have created a props file named ETR.props on the frces4043 server which incudes

ashost=frces4078

sysnr=01.

Now when I test the configuration using the link given below:

http://frces4078:50100/meSync/servlet/meSync?sysid=ETR&login=ABc&password=ABC&client=200&language=EN&test=true

It throws a page cannot be displayed error. Where am I going wrong?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

Many thanks,

Best regards,

Divya Rao

    Hello,

You can check in the webconsole if the CRMHHSALES.war file is actually uploaded. Sometimes it creates the mobile component but not the link to to file.

You can check this in the webconsole, goto Upload Mobile Component, then click on the mobile component.

Now take a look at the "Test Download link of the Mobile Application" there should be a link behind it with the fully qualified domain name. Click this link, the war file should be downloaded. If it is not, try uploading it again. You should be able to download this file otherwise your PDA can't install it.

    Hello,

You have to connect to the http://frces4043:50500/meSync/servlet/meSync?sysid=<SID_from_frces4043>&login=<user>&password=<pw>&client=<client>&language=EN&test=true

Eventually the MI system will pick up the ETR.props file and redirect you to the ETR system.

Also you might want to consider user lower case for the SID here and use the fully qualified domain name.

    Good luck.

      Hi Bart,

The sysid here is it that of frces4043 system which in that case would be wa1 and am trying to synchronize with the etr so the name of the props file in this case should be etr.props or wa1.props?

What would the link look like then?

Also the user id and password is that for the etr or is it that for the wa1 system?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

      Best regards,

    Hi,

the link would look like this:

    http://frces4043:50500/meSync/servlet/meSync?sysid=WA1&login=<user>&password=<pw>&client=<client>&language=EN&acknowledge=X&~test=true&

the username and pw are users in the frces4043 system.

in the wa1.props file you put the details from the frces4078.

    hope this helps.

      Hi Bart,

I just followed the steps who have mentioned my link is now

      http://frces4043:50500/meSync/servlet/meSync?sysid=wa1&login=abc&password=xyz&client=100&language=EN&acknowledge=X&~test=true&

The output of this is a blank screen. Where could the problem be?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

      Best regards,

    Hi,

Have you tried connecting to the fully qualified domain name?

    eg. http://frces4043.full.domain.com:50500/meSync/servlet/meSync?sysid=wa1&login=abc&password=xyz&client=100&language=EN&acknowledge=X&~test=true&

Also, have you changed the WA1.props to wa1.props? this sometimes gives problems too.

      Hi Bart,

Yes, I have tried connecting with the fully qualified domain name and also changes the props file to be wa1.props.

But, I just receive a blank screen still. Where could the problem be?

      Thanks again.

      Regards,

      Divya

    Hello,

I tried it on my MI system. And when I am not using the correct username / pw combination I'm getting a blank screen as well.

Is the user abc with pw xyz available in the MI system?

    Good luck !

    Hi,

it looks like your device already has a deviceID, try do deinstall the mobile client on the pda and reinstall it afterwards, then sync again to get a new deviceID.

Then assign the applications to the new deviceID.

    Good luck.

As I am currently uploading the CRMHHSALES.war from the local system onto the server using webconsole.

Is there anything else that is to be done by me?
