Information on implementing DIMa

Hello all,

We are reaching the end of a large project in a utilities company.

To ensure data integrity between all servers we would like to setup Data Integrity Manager (DIMa).

I ran some test to see how it works but the results were rather disapointing, the comparison methods seems to fail a good implementation.

I already searched through the OSS notes and found a cookbook but was wondering if anyone has some tips regarding the fine-tuning of dima or any experiences?

Many thanks,

Kind regards,

    Hi Nadia,

I have some experience trying to use the SDIMA transaction, but I share your disappointment.

    - Did you make any enhancements to the data model of the objects you're trying to compare?

    - What objects are you trying to compare & between which databases?

I've been trying to enhance the stardard object for the business partner comparison, by copying the standard to a Z* object and modifying it to include the data model enhancements that we have done (not just field-enhacements, but also additional tables and integration logic).

No success this far. Since I haven't found any SAP documentation on how Sdima works or how to enhance it, it's very time consuming.

      Some pointers:

      - You can find the definitions of Sdima in transaction Sdima_basic

      - The ABAP OO class name takes care of all data-comparisons.

      - Be carefull to test this tool in your productive environment, because it produces quite some load on your system.

Sry that i can't be of more assistance,
