Which setting is used by SAP to choose the search help for type ahead?

Hello everybody,

I'm trying to enhance the type-ahead search help for MAT1M. My approach is to create a ZMAT1M, append this to MAT1_A and then have SAP use this one for the type-ahead help. But what setting is there to accomplish this?

Look at transaction SDSH_CONFIG, also read the Enhanced Search Help Functionality section of Elementary Search Help in online help.

Hello Raymond,

I've browsed through your info, but I can't find the setting where you can choose which search help is used for the type-ahead information when multiple search helps are available with type-ahead capabilities.

Hope you can point me in the right direction.

Look at table DDSHDEFSH or use a search help exit to force your search help as the default one (1633984 - Input help: Personal values, personalization, default search help)
