Hi
Our database is Teradata.
WE just dragged on object in webi in launch pad and it is showing no data.
The same object we dragged through Rich client it is bringing data.
Our version is BO4.
Could you please tell us for the same.
Regards
Gaurav.

Can you generate the SQL from both rich client and thin client and check if they are same?
If they are the same just run the query from teradata client tool both in the local machine and from BO server machine (if client can be installed there) and see if that makes any difference.
If both the above steps gets you same result you next steps should be tracing as Vivek suggested earlier..

Hello Gaurav,
How much time does it take to run the report from rich client?
Could be due to some timeout it is not showing any data with webi in launchpad?
We need to trace both Rich Client and WIReportServer.
Look for KB article 1586166 :-
We also need to enable "Database connection tracing" as mentioned in the note so that we can troubleshoot the SQL calls in detail.
Thanks,
Vivek

Hi,
"in webi in launch pad and it is showing no data. The same object we dragged through Rich client it is bringing data."
Hope you check the Teradata ODBC in system DSN on both your BI4.0 server and your workstation. It could be that your local system DSN is pointing to a test database while the BI4.0 server system DSN is pointing to the other database where is there is no data in it.
Hope this helps,
Jin-Chong
