hi,

go to RSRT screen and execute your query with execute+debug option, there by selecting and deselecting the check boxes like without bia, without aggregates etc..we can do analysis on querie performances.

Hi,

The easiest way to check query performance (and the BW gold standard) is through transaction RSRT. Once inside RSRT, enter the query in which you would like to gather performance metrics on.  You will then be prompted to tick or un tick a series of checkboxes based on what metrics you want returned or how you want the query to run.

For example, if you would like to see the BWA impact to a query you would check "do not use cache" and ensure that the "do not use BW Accelerator" is not checked. Then you may run it with the "do not use BW Accelerator" checked and "do not use cache" to see how much slower the query runs.

The performance metrics are displayed on the next screen once the query completes it's execution.

Hi,

You posted in the BWA space, so I'm assuming you need to find info on TREX performance (BWA)?

If you mean normal BI/BW, then take a look at transaction ST14 if you have the ST tools installed at the BASIS level.

I need to know if there is any checklist to check the performance of the query.

list of different steps to check a query performance.

Are you wanting to check a query in BW Accelerator (TREX) or in a normal BW system?
