IC Webclient blank screen

Former Member

We have installed CRM 4.0 with J2EE 6.20 along with all the required Java components and ICSERVER. The RFC destinations work without any problems. But when we start the CRM_IC application only a blank white screen is displayed in the browser.

In MS Internet Explorer, we get a Javascript error and other than this there is no error in any logs. Digging into the service market place, we found some notes and applied them too. Has anyone faced such problem and can provide the solution?

thanks

Prakash

CRM 4.0 at SP04 and IC WebClient 4.0 at SP04.

Prakash,

Look at OSS notes 633359 & 741939 & 759923. It contains some decent recommendations to check if you get a blank screen in the IC webclient upon startup, provided everything else is configured correctly.

Good luck,

Thanks for your suggestion Stephen.

I have applied the notes already except updating the kernel package. I thought of checking for a solution on SDN before going down that path.

If anyone has experienced this and knows the solution then it would help me a lot.

Hi Prakash,

Have you checked Transaction CRMS_IC_CHECK? What is the result?

I would also check the status of J2EE Server and HTTP Service in Transaction SMICM.

Also, check

http://<host name>:<Port>/ICSERVER/servlet/Dispatcher

http://<host name>:<Port>/sap/public/ping

Web IC URL:

http://<host name>:<Port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ic/default.htm

Hi Chandu,

CRMS_IC_CHECK detected no issues. Everything is ok with that test. The dispatcher check displays the server info like the server name, node ID, ports etc. Ping returns "Server reached successfully" message. I started web ic from SE80 and also tried the direct url.

I also applied updated JVMCheck.htm based on the note 622861. Still no change.

The only thing pending is updating the kernel. We will do that over the week end if there is no other solution.

thanks

Hi Prakash,

What JRE Version & O/S version are you using at the Client?

I presume you have already activated all the CRM_IC service in transaction SICF.

I would also look at applying latest Support Packages as I understand you should be atleast on SP6.

Regards

Chandu
