Error importing ES language, could not create cofile

Hello All,

I am importing spanish language using SMLT in ERP 6 EHP6 is on windows server 2008 and sql server 2012, after starting the import i face the error "Could not create cofile", i have tried some solutions:

1. I have all transport configuration ok, and creating a trasnport test also ok,

2. I have change SAPService<SID> users authorizations in cofile and data directory \usr\sap\trans\cofiles and \usr\sap\trans\data.

3. Change the TP_VERSION parameter to 282 value via STMS.

4. I Have enough space in the unit where is cofile and data, have 177 GB free space.


I would really appreciate your help, thanks in advanced

    Hi,

    Did the error occur in phase disassemble?

    Normally, a corrupted file or a R3trans error could be responsible
    for this problem. I recommend you try again by downloading the package once more.

    Please note, when you start the language import another time, you may
    get the message
    "... do not overwrite data files and cofiles (settings)" and the
    import may fail.

    You may need to change the setting in the SMLT import dialog to
    "... recreate data files and cofiles (settings)"

    and then the import should work.

    Can be at the begining you got the error "Could not create cofile",
    that means the disassembling failed, but when the file is correct,
    but an incorrect e.g. data file was stops the import.
    After recreating the data and co file the import works.

    Hope this can help you.

    Hi everybody,

    I am waiting for Maintenance license, so i have not registered this license yet, could be this the problem of importing the language or importing any support package?

    Plz any clue,

    Hi,

    please check the *.PAT file, probably the file is corrupted or incomplete
