VDS authentication

I am trying to configure VDS for the first time.  I have it working for anonymous binds, but when I try to LDAP bind with an authenticated user it fails (invalid user). I think the issue is that my server authentication parameters are set to internal only.  The help file seems to say it should be set to transparent so that VDS passes the bind credentials onto the LDAP server. However, I don’t have a transparent option on the authentication tab…how can I make that option show up, or is it somewhere else?

Pete,

Look into the users and group nodes in the configuration.  You'll be able to define users and passwords for binds.  Groups will allow other access controls.
