Bw Cube in memory optimized - why it's not an analytical view

Hi all,

my question is very simple: why the in memory optimized BW Cube is not an analytical view but it is composed by two tables /BIC/F... (fact table) and /BIC/D...(technical table) ?

If using the display data in workbench I display the sql generated I see the following points:

  1. just sql involved, but if I use it in hana studio I see that also the OLAP engine is involved in execution (through Visualize Plan)
  2. the following Hint is used at the end of the sql sentence : WITH HINT( OLAP_PARALLEL_AGGREGATION )

So why the BW system does not create an analytical view ?

Why BW uses an hint (an instruction frequently used but not officially supported) ?!
