Update rules for infosource to data target

Hi,

I have got an infosource, in which, I want to load a data target with infosource. Here, I am updating a data field, but for this can I have the option to set one of the key fields, not to map. I want this, as I dont maintain that field in my datasource, but want to populate the data field to all the records, in the data target, but with out the condition for one particular key field. So,can I skip this key field?

Please let me know the procedure if its possible.

Regards,

Naveen.A

    Hallo

As far as I understood, if your issue is linked to maitnain or not update rule, you can do it and depends on you even if this is maintaine dor not in the transfer rule. At the end this field will not be filled in.

But if you do not want to fill, why insert into Data Target.

If data target is a ODS then key field cannot be skipped .If key field is skipped then you have inconsistent data in the ODS .
