Port issue

Hi Experts,

when we go for bdbg and create a bapi-ale interface,an idoc will be crated and passed it to ale layer,in this scenario if the data is comming from external system how should we configure the ports.plz reply.imm points awarded.

    It depends on the transport you use for your IDOCs. If you choose RFC (e.g. with NCo's SAPIdocSender), you need the RFC (Gateway) port 3300SystemNumber, and - if you use MessageServer LoadBalancing the MessageServer port (often 3600SystemNumber).

    If you use HTTP-Transport, it depends what you configured,

      i did'nt get you properly,i'm new to integration with external systems,i'm working on .net connectors,i'm responsible for sap side.how i have to operate to upload bulk amount of data comming into sap from .net.Is idoc a good idea,i'm working on Funds management module.plz help me,if possible give me ur personal id,i have a lot of doubts to be clarified. thank u
