FB01- Posting error Account xxxx requires

Gurus,

While i am trying to post manually through FB01

Create account XXXXX for 10/17/2013 as a cost element in controlling area.

Account XXXXX- is a profit and Loss Account ( Cost of Sales Account for Freight).

We can not create this account as cost element account.

Can some one help here.
