Hi Expertise,
We are planning to Refresh our QA database with Prod backup image.
Now the fact is Database names are different also one schema name holding tables are different as that
particular schema name holds database name.
Database and tablespace names can be edited during redirected restore but we are searching the best
way to keep the schema name as per old database schema name.
Could you please provide any step by step document if you have or just let us know
the best way to sort out the matter.
Thanking You
Dear Somraj,
As per note
713524 DB6: Additional information on system copy with DB resources
if you perform a system copy using backup-restore, this keeps the same schema and connect user
Performing a system copy using sapinst/swpm via export import would allow you to rename the schema on the target side so it matches the old db schema name
regards,
Paul
