What would be the best user id to run process chain? ALEREMOTE or System?

Thanks

Hi Kevin...

it's important to use a 'SYSTEM' user for your background user (ALEREMOTE is automatically created in the customizing as 'SYSTEM' user)...

So, use ALEREMOTE (anyway check it in SU01)...

Are you using RSPC_EXECUTE_USER program ?

hi Roberto,

You mean ALEREMOTE = System? No, we are not using RSPC_EXECUTE_USER program.

Thanks

No Kevin,

I don't know if in your system you have a user called 'SYSTEM', but 'system' is a user type (as 'communication' and so on...) !

Sorry for the misunderstanding...

Anyway, look at OSS Notes 640746 (about RSPC_EXECUTE_USER...it's interesting!) and 511475 (system and communication types..)

Hope it helps!

Bye,

Roberto

hi Robert,

Our dev system work fine and I check the user ALEREMOTE using SU01, find three profiles SAP_ALL, SAP_New, and S_BI-WX_RFC are assigned to ALEREMOTE. Our test system does't work to run the process chain with the user ALEREMOTE and I find there is only one profile S_BI-WX_RFC is assigned to this user. That would be the problem, right?

Thanks

Kevin, we have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW as profiles for ALEREMOTE on all our systems, and yes our Process Chains are working fine.

hi George,

Could you verify which profiles have been assigned to the user ALEREMOTE in your system by going to SU01? Your system works by running process chain, right?

Thanks

Hi Kevin !

Sure, definitely you have to assign to the background user (ALEREMOTE) the same profiles you see in your DEV!
