error message " value cannot be null parameter name cubeinfo"

Dear Expert,

I am trying to create Local connection via BW OLAP provider at EPM. But after done for creating a new path at EPM, I click that path but the error message shows " value cannot be null parameter name cubeinfo". Does anyone know how to fix it? Many Thanks

Hi Yu-Chun,

It seems that this is a bug of EPM Add-in. You may try the latest version EPM Add-in SP15 patch01.

Thanks for your reply. Version is 10 SP12 Patch 4 .NET 3.5. The error message is shown Chinese Language, I translate it and should be " value cannot be null parameter name cubeinfo". Do you have any idea for this? Thanks

Please refer note 1787335 .

Cause

This is a program bug, that will be fixed in SP13 (note 1776770).

Resolution

Workaround:

1) Create a folder C:\Users\{your user}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Queries
2) Put all the local queries that were made in this folder
3) Launch Excel
4) Choose "Create connection"
5) Tick the option "Display local connection". You should see all the local connections.
6) Create local connection. It should work.

Solution: Install SP13 (note 1776770)
