Hi,
We wanted to get more information on planning operators. What are the uses of operators in SOP and how to configure them. Please help us.
Kind Regards,
Sanjeev
Hi Sanjeev,
Planning Operators allow you to define, run and schedule Planning operations like Statistical Forecasting , Supply Planning Functions, Snapshots ,etc.
SAP Pre-delivers Planning Operator Types like FORECAST, SCM and Snapshots along with Planning Operators like
FORECAST->Optimized for all methods, SCM -> Constrained Demand and Supply , Snapshots and Snapshots Redo.
User can further add Planning Operators within these operator Types. example Triple Exponential smoothing
When you define Planning Operators within a Planning Operator Type and assign to you planning area, these will become available in S&OP Excel Add-In to run or schedule and view status. You can further define filters for the data processed by these Planning Operators.
See sample configuration in Model Configuration section : 9.0, 9.1,9.2,9.3 to see how Planning Operators are configured.
Also you can refer to the help in model configuration guide https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000479482013E
Thanks,
Raghav
