SAP NW 7.3 SP04 MYTASKS UWL not working in IE10

Hi Experts,

I have read many SAP notes and forums, but did not get the concrete solution for the issue.

We are unable to access MYTASKS configured using UWL in Portal 7.3 version using IE10 browser.

I have seen making it to IE9 compatibility mode using F12, but still not working, in SAP PAM it did not mention anything about this issue. So anyone of you are facing the same issue of accessing MYTASKS using IE10 and found the solution, appreciate if you could share it with me.

HI Dil,

Even we tried accessing some applications on IE10, we see the spinning wheel and stays there forever.

We are alos investigating on this issue, we will share the solution once we find out the solution.

Thanks Rishi for the above info, unfortunately it has not resolved the issue, our issue is very simple, Portal MYTASKS which is totally of UWL in latest version 7.3 SP04 is not loading in IE10 browser, itis working fine with all versions of IE till IE9, it is spinning round and round, and looks like no one has complained this so far to SAP. Lets see if we can raise an OSS message to SAP to resolve it at the earliest.

All others, appreciate if any one come across the similar issue, please formulate the single chain to make it visible to all users.

Hi,

Do you mean to say that its spinning round for only ie10 but not for other browsers. If yes then this is only based on ie10 issue. In this case you can check that if the connection is generated in the backend. Check the zoom settings in ie10. make it 100%.

If no then it issue across all the browser .This means that If it is spinning round and round it is trying to get the data from the backend.

Please check if you see any sequential read in the backend.

Can you please check if Compatibility View turned off in the IE10.

can you run httpwatch and see where its spinning and provide me the url where it takes time.

Hi Rishi,

I have validated and by default browser is with 100% zoom, and yes it happens only in IE10, works fine with all other browsers even IE7,8,9.

I have validated the MYTASKs with and with out compatibility mode still no luck on IE10, and I have validated the same MYTASKs on IE9 found that it is getting connected and response, however not on IE10.

Here are url's.

I am suspecting that our UWL triggers a polling mechanism, and IE10 is not responding to that.

Hopefully we have solution soon.  Appreciate your quick help.

Hi,

You can try the fixes in the below two notes.

Note 1756379 - 'Closing session' popup stays open after closing the browser

Note 1688045 - RTMF polling runs in loop

Note 1911522 - Rendering issues with PopupTrigger in Firefox and Chrome

Do you have this issue across landscape if yes you can try the patches in SANDBOX and see if it helps.

But best approach is you migrate to NW7.3 SP09 to avoid many more issues.

Else wait for SAP responce

We are planning to upgrade the system to NW7.3 SP09, will keep you posted if it gets resolved. did not find any resolution in SCN, and also planning to open an OSS message ti SAP.
