Links between hierarchy tables

Hi,

I need to retrieve hierarchies on BO reports (I know BO is not a good solution at all to build reports on BW, but I have no choice on this project).

Therefore I need to understand how hierarchy tables (/BI0/H**, /BI0/I*, /BI0/J** and /BI0/K***) are linked to MasterData tables. I have had a look to table contents and didn't find any linkable field...

Could anyone help me?

Thank you.

Hi Terry and welcome on board...

I have no system availability right now, but I remember that in the K hierarchy table (SID) there is a field that shows the SID of the characteristic value (X table)

    Hope it helps!

    Bye,

    Roberto

    Terry,

Since your question was based on BO, I found this link useful. Lemme find some more on the tables while you ae looking at this.

    Hi Roberto,

I had seen that a field named SID is existing on table /BI/K*. But values (that are negative) are not matching /BI/S*** SID values (that are positive).

Are they supposed to match? If they are, I have no more problem about links (but an other problem).

    Thanks.

    Terry
