Long Texts in a Material Master

Hi!

Anybody know if it is possible to configure something for put a Long Text in description of Material Master using LSMW transaction MM01??? We need some help because in this

description field, only accept 40 characters as max.

MAKT-MAKTX has a maximum length of 40. You can not change this. Any characters more than 40, will be truncated when move to this field. You can store your long text in a material "long text object".

I am using object 0020 "Material Master". I can store Long text with object 0001 "Long text", but how can I later connect this data from object 0001 to proper material master from object 0020 ??

Hi,

If you are using LSMW, i think you must use direct input to create Material Master. The program is RMDATIND and BMMH7 to fill material texts.
