Hi SCN Experts,
I had a cube with many dimensions but upon checking the "SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS", only one of its dimension showing more than 80% of the E table (100%) . Below are the chars kept in that dimension. Can anyone suggest if we need to remove document number from the list to improve the load performance and put it as line item dimension.
Document Type
Posting Key
Item Status
Reasond Code for Payment
Document Number (GL)
line item (GL)
Number of line item within accounting document
Please let me know you new line item dimension needs to be created on this for Doc number or if any other suggestions.
Hi,
Create two Line Item dimensions for Document Num and Line Item. Rest all fields can be in one dimension.
This will optimize your cube dramatically.

Hi Raju
You can add Document number as line item dimension as suggested by Raman also. Further to that you can take a dump of data in excel and you can analyze how frequently data is changing.
If some characterstics is changing very frequently like document number, posting date etc you can try to make them as line item dimension. Try to load data after making changes to dimension in dev and check SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS program again. You can see the difference how f/dim table ratio is changed.

Hi Raju,
Its mandatory to have LID on document number. its known infoobject( doc num) to have LID.
Try to add line item dimension and declare doc number as line item.
All info objects keep under old dim and design doc number as LID.
Do it dev and check it out. later move to prod.
Thanks
