Characteristic not available in report painter

Hi,

  I cannot find "segment" under the characteristics list in report painter.The field exists and is selected in the New GL library but is not available for selection.How can i solve this issue?

Hi allan,

You can use GR22. Select the library and then add characteristics to the table by selecting. I hope that you are speaking about Report painter and this will help.

Go to KE32 and select the report that you want to modify. There you can

choose the characteristics that are to be displayed for the report.

The characteristic is already in the table(see attached) and it is selected.The problem is when i want to select the segment in the available characteristic it is not available.In t code KE32 i cannot see the report.

Hi

Both are different. FAGLFLEXT table caters to FI where as KE32 reports are COPA

you need to have SEGMENT as a char in your operating concern., Only then you can have it in KE32 reports

From KEA5, create a char called SEGMENT (WWXXX) and write a derivation rule to populate it..Only tehn you can see it in your KE32 reports

The FAGLFLEXT table is the one which corresponds to the new general ledger library that the report

is based on.

Segment field is there in fdi3 fgi3 and fki3. I never saw it in fsi3. I think its based on bseg table

I don't think you can add segment field in fsi3. That's my opinion. Let's wait other replies
