Hi Experts,
We have an DTP with full update targetting to DSO, When I checked this DTP one week log it is taking 6 to 7 hrs to complete successfuly, but for the past 3 days it is getting failed after long run (6hrs) with one of data package in red rest are in green (total 12 data packages) and technical status is red.
We are deleting the red request from target and repaired the DTP and it will get completed after 6 hrs. Can any one help me why this will happend and what needs to check when it get failed.
Thx,
Sai.
Sai,
I'll give a simple scenario.
If you set 3 background jobs for this DTP, 3 data packages will be processed at a time.
If your DTP run failed and did a repair load, system will process 1 DTP at a time, instead of 3.
As far as failure is concerned, might be due to many things right from data quality to unavailability of background jobs. Post the error message details to tell you further.

Hi Folks,
This failure due to too many background jobs, I just repeated the step and it got completed successfully.

If you hear hoof beats, think horses, not zebras.
If the DTP times out after exactly 6 hours, check the settings on "Set Traffic Light Waiting Time" RSCUSTV2 in RSA1 -> Adminstration -> Administration Cockpit -> Installation and Customizing -> Automated Processes -> Extraction Monitor Settings -> Set Traffic Light Waiting Time
Maybe you are simply timing out!

Hi Folks,
The error is Dump: Internal session terminated with a runtime error. What could be the reason for this termination

If package is failing with SQL error/short dump, reduce the number of parallel processes to 1 for that DTP and execute the DTP again, it should work.

Hi Sai,
We need to know the error message occuring so that we could provide possible solutions.
A snapshot or text would do.
Did some system activity happened 3 days ago?

Hi
As the other said share the log for a better help. Make sure the dtp doesn't time out and gets red before it's actually finished loading data. (check the settings in the dtp).
Are you cleaning the psa table periodically or is the full dtp loading more and more requests that sit in PSA?
hope this helps
Martin
