Are there any differences in creating an iView for ME21 v ME21n?

Are there any future support issues for ME21 that need to be taken into account?

Hi William,

There is no difference in creating iviews for ME21 and ME21n. For both you can create transaction iview, which is standard iview within portal itself.

For cretaing transaction iview do refer the following link.

William,

yes there are differences. If you plan to pass dynpro values to the transaction (using OK codes like "*ME21N KNA1-BEGRU=abcd") you will fail for ME21N as parameter passing only works if the transction features a classical selection screen beforehand. For ME21 this works perfectly fine.

As for the future support issues of ME21.

As ME21 has "newer" version ME21N, are there any support issues for future releases of SAP eg ECC5.0
