SLD

Hi,

I have two servers for XI(one for development and ane for production).Do i require to have two SLD for both the servers or i can use a common SLD for both?If i am using the same SLD what are the configurations that are to be done?

Thanks and Regards,

Jishi

    BTW

yes, you can use one SLD <- much easier option then using 2

If you use two SLDs for this purpose (to avoid direct changes in the production environment) you need to copy the content from the dev SLD to the prod SLD. Both have to be identical, so both XI (and all other systems) have to be available in both SLDs.

If you have just one SLD, it should run in an high availability area (like the prod XI).

Both XI (and all other systems) must point to it (apply correct settings in RZ70).

The advantage of having one SLD is less effort of maintanence. The disadvantage is, when one guy deletes any entry, it influences directly the prod system.

    Regards

    Stefan
