SAP ME Problem using change production feature.

Dear all,

I am
facing an issue with change production feature. I created a Routing in which
there is a sub route or a child route, once the SFC's are in sub route, the
system is not allowing updating the routing using change production. Please
find my sample routing screen shot.

Kindly
provide your suggestions to solve this issue.

Regards,

Chaitanya

Hi Chaitanya,

Sorry but this is a basic design of the system. Originally Change Production was meant to deal only with the steps explicitly included in Production routers.

For you this means that when SFC is somewhere outside on those "explicitly included" steps, any manipulations with routers can cause database inconsistency in router-related tables.

Hi Sergiy,

Thank you for the answer, I am actually trying to add few additional process steps to the existing Sub

Route and process SFC's accordingly. I would like to know if there is any other work around solution

without customization

Sandeep.

You need to create a new version of your nested routing with the additional steps, and move the SFCs onto that new version.

Sandeep,

Workaround is simply to avoid using nested routings but put all operations into the main productive routing instead. As Stuart said above, you can create a new revision of each main routing, complete subroutings to return SFCs back to main routings and then use Change Production to move SFCs to the new revisions of the main routings.
