Install patch on Sybase ASE (High Availability)

Hello, dear guru!

Please tell me, how to apply patches for Sybase ASE in HA cluster?

I found a "SAP Note 1607816 - SYB: Installing Service Packs for Sybase ASE 15.7 (Windows)", but it's describe - how to apply the patch to a single database.

I was also on SyBooks Online, but there nothing said about HA cluster.

I use a simple HA cluster on MSCS (2 nodes).

Please help me find the manual - how to upgrade ASE 15.7.0.42 to ASE 15.7.0.102 in High Availability cluster

    OK, I'll rephrase my question.

I think that I should take the following steps:

    1. Stop MSCS

    2. Apply patch for each node

    3. Run MSCS

This is enough or I need to do something else?

For example, to run script for HA?

      Hello, guys!

      Yes, I solved problem.

      1. Set MSCS cluster to maintenance mode (this is important!)

      2. Apply Sybase patch on both nodes.

      3. Turn off maintenance flag for cluster.

      4. Enjoy! 😊
