how to change the existing path in al11 tcode

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We had performed system copy from existing production server to a new server. But in AL11 tcode the interface directory path is not updated. We had created the interface in "D" drive but it is displaying as "DIR_INTERFACE=E:\interface" and the host name is also displaying the old host name(\\<old host name\interface). So kindly suggest us how to update the path as "DIR_INTERFACE=D:\interface" and the host name to (\\<new host name\interface). Kindly find the attached screen shot for the same for your reference

Hi Surya,

Its the second button from left in the application tool bar ( next to magnifier icon) . Alternatively you can use shortcut

Shift+F1.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

The path in AL11 are defined in profile parameters.

Please use RZ10 to check start profile, instance profile and default profile to maintain it and see how it goes.

Good luck

Thanks.

HI Surya,

Please go through following sap note. It will resolve the issue

Note 117395 - Authorization problems for file I/O on Windows NT

Please also have a look at this thread

Hi Surya,

It is not authorization problem. Just place the cursor the path you want to change ( not on parameter name). From application menu select "Maintain".

Change the new path and save it.

Later follow the same process to delete older entry.

Hope this helps.
