Issue related to Time Management

Hi Friends,

We have an issue with out client that one employee took sick leave on 13th & 14th of May 2013 . Now he is trying to book those leaves in Portal(ESS). It is showing the error that on 13th is 8 hrs & 14th is Day-Off. We check in IT0007(work schedule)- on 13th - 8hrs & 14th-Day off is there. What my doubt is

1) is he eligible to book leaves now in October month?

2) He is getting this error in his ESS Portal.

If there is any other process, please let me know.
