Hi,
I'm rescheduling the authorizations via BPC task profiles, and I just stucked to choose right role.
I need to create a profile which offers to use "Save Data" in EPM Excel, but do not want to see "Open Folder" ribbon in EPM section.
In task profiles, "use input forms and save data" profile provides me both of these authorizations. So it is not useful for my aim.
Could you show me a way through?
Regards,
Gokhan
Hello Gokhan,
To add to what Raju said, if you make a Team and add the users to it, anyone in that team can save to a Team folder instead of the "Public" one. Then only members of that Team can access it.
If your users are the only ones that should see that input form or report (i.e. each user has their own form and only they are allowed to see it) they could save the input forms or reports to their computer or a sub-directory. For instance, if you have a shared sub-directory called "Human Resources" and only HR users have access to it, you could have your users save their forms/reports to that sub-directory as opposed to saving it to the BPC server.
Just another couple options available to you. I don't believe there is a way around splitting that permission up at this time.
Thanks,
Alex

Hi,
I don't think you can disable Open Folder, because all users can open reports and inputforms from local machine also. Until you give Manage Templates users can not save template changes.
Hope it helps...

Raju

Hi Raju,
I'm aware of that issue but maybe there's an easy way to not let them see or refresh other users' input forms. Since same department has different users and files which are not to be seen by other one. So what should be done to skip long data access profile creation time for individual users?
Do you have any idea?
Thanks in advance,
Gokhan
