Data is not available in RSA3

Hi Experts,

    Data is not available in RSA3 but available in PSA and datasource type is Generic data source with function Module. We cheked in development system it shows fine(in both RSA3 and PSA) but when we cheked in Pre-production system it shows only in PSA but not in RSA3. Please let me know what could be reason behind that one ASAP.

Hi Bhaskar,

It could be authorization issue,they will give up to DEV, QAS  and they won't give access Pr-production.

please check the selection, same selection have each system.

check the RSA9, RASA5,RSA3.

R/3 consultants changed the FM, it could be FM issue some time.

Hi

When you execute RSA3 you are doing it with your user account which does not have the same access rights as when you do it through an infopackage and use the bw background user. Make sure your account has enough access rights then it works

that should fix it

Try to execute your data source in rsa3 in Debug mode check weather your getting data .if your getting any issue update it.

It should be authorization issue. As suggested by Krishna,Bhagyarekha and Kodanda also ..

You can run rsa3 and just after running rsa3 you can go to transaction code SU53 to check if any authorization is missing for your userid.

In SU53 it will show you the missing authorization objects, if required you can ask your bw security team to add them and then try running you extractor in rsa3.

Hi Bhaskar,

Is the extractor active in RSA6?If not ,try regenerating it and check if the same filter used to check data in PSA is used while checking RSA3 as well...

Else it may be an authorization issue.

Can you check once again in RSA3.  If you get the data in PSA means you should get the data in RSA3.

Check all the settings in RSA3 along with the authorizations of the user in your pre-production system.

It is clear that your data selection and extr/calls and the mode in RSA3 was different than your infopackage selection in BW.

RSA3 = PSA. Please check RSA3 again..
