use of 'Batch input only' in Document types???...

Hi,

I have a query regarding the functionality of 'Btch input only' in Doc type that whether we can use it for BDC or not and also with all major functionality of this setting?

Hi Ali,

Batch input session only check box will facilitate to business ,use that document type only for batch session jobs not for manual entries. BDC also work ,if you create job. If it is direct entry it won't work.

Kindly clear me one more thing that 'this check will work for both BDC and BAPI as well and user can't do any manual posting with this document type (in which this chk is enable)?

Hi,

Yes. User can't do any manual posting if this tick is selected and it works for BDC/BAPI.

You can try to test by selecting this tick for one of the document type in sandbox system.
