Hi guys. So right now we're in the middle of migration from xi r2 to 3.1. In the 3.1 CMC, when we try to create new voyager connection, this error come out. "No cubes we found.Verify that you have permission to view cubes on the database server and try again".

We're using ms sql 2000 analysis services. I'm using the correct windows credential to log in. There credential also have been set to view and edit all the cubes, but the error message still come out. Is there any suggestion u guys can suggest me?

Hi,

wow. it's been a while.. but i think this means there's no trust between the MSAS and BOE box.

  • The SQL 2000 analysis services on the  database server is running with Local System account.
  •   Need SPN entries for Analysis services on the Analysis Services server
  •   Need SPNs for domain account that runs the MDAS service
  •   Configure  BOE services to use domain account (Act as part of operating system & Impersonate a client after authentication)- as specified in Voyager guide.
  •   The accounts need to be “Trust this user for delegation of any service “

Are you sure your organisation isn't tempted by BI4.1?   XI3.1 is effectively in maintenance mode, so we can't expect many more SP or FixPacks going forward.  ( current snapshot: XI3.1 SP5 FP5.5 / XI 3.1 SP6 FP6.2 / SP07 pending. )

Regards,

H
